Green Jobs Now: National Day of Action

Submitted by Chris on Mon, 09/01/2008 - 09:18
The Growing a Just, Green Economy Conference on Sept. 20th in Durham, NC will act as a catalyst for a Green Jobs pilot project for Durham and North Carolina. This initiative is part of a larger national movement called Green For All that aims to create concurrent solutions to our environmental and social crises. Green For All has partnered with 1Sky, the WE campaign and many others to designate September 27th a Green Jobs Now : National Day of Action to help mobilize support and the creation of solutions. Though on a different day, the Growing a Just, Green Economy Conference is a contribution to this national action and will send media coverage from our conference to Green Jobs Now staff to add to the documentation of all the synergistic actions taking place nationally. See you there.
